Aquanode Bandpass Modulator for PlugData

Aquanode Bandpass Modulator is a plugin version of my bandpass modulator preset for FL Studio's Patcher included in my AutoMorph EQ preset pack for FL Studio.

This plugin works in PlugData, a free and open-source plugin for many operating systems which pretty much works in all DAWs (that support VSTs). Make sure you have it installed, from https://plugdata.org/.

With it, you can create all sorts of effects from subtle and soft modulation of the bandpass filter and its stereo position to Filter FM-like sounds. Two modulation sources can influence the bandpass filter simultaneously (or one at a time if you turn down the other one):

  • A random modulator that makes the bandpass filter peak jump to a random frequency, where you can control the range of frequencies in which the jumps can occur or
  • a sine/saw/square wave modulator with variable speed that adds a skew to the random modulator (if it is active) or simply moves the filter around (if the random modulator is inactive).

Since it is a plugdata patch, you can even edit everything you like in it! I especially recommend tinkering with the ranges that the knob controls provide. Don't like that they span 1 to 20000 Hz and want more fine control over a specific range? No problem - simply go into plugdata's edit mode, click on the knob and change its range values for example.

Descriptions on how to use it are included in the download.

Thanks for checking it out, hope you have fun with it!
